TURKISH MADRONE DETAIL
The University of California, Davis arboretum is home to a great variety of tree species. Among the most striking species is the Turkish Madron. Its highly textured bark and its complementary colors provide the perfect ingredients for an intimate photograph. I waited for about two hours for the light to filter through the canopy and illuminate a small portion of the bark that I had previously scoped out.
