SOCIAL SCIENCES BUILDING, STUDY 5
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, DAVIS

The Social Sciences and Humanities building on the University of California, Davis campus was designed by architect Antoine Pedrick. On the grand scale the building evokes a sense of order through its multifaceted and angular facade. On a smaller scale the building's facets form corridors that terminate in an apparently disordered arrangement. The tension between order and disorder provides unique opportunities to explore the interplay between geometry, light and form.
